(A LiberSeed Foundation Charter)
Preamble
We, the members of Community 00, unite in the pursuit of a life free from the control of money, private ownership, and trade economies. We commit to living in harmony with the land, sustaining ourselves through mutual contribution, and upholding principles that preserve our shared home for generations to come. At the heart of this community lies an uncompromising right: the freedom for every person to speak their mind without fear, suppression, or penalty.
Article I – The Right to Speak
Absolute Freedom of Speech
Every member has the inalienable right to express their thoughts, beliefs, and criticisms, spoken or written, without interference, censorship, or punishment.
This right stands above all other community laws and cannot be amended, suspended, or overridden for any reason.
Protection from Reprisal
No one may be excluded from community life, housing, food, or participation due to their opinions or statements, except where speech directly incites violence or harm to others.
Article II – Shared Resources and Living
No Private Property
All land, tools, food, and resources belong collectively to the community.
Families or individuals may be assigned living spaces and storage areas, but these are held in trust by the community and cannot be sold, traded, or claimed as personal property.
Mutual Contribution
Every able member contributes according to ability and capacity — through farming, building, teaching, caregiving, or other essential roles.
Effort and skill are valued equally; no person’s contribution outweighs another’s.
Article III – Governance and Decision-Making
Consensus and Open Dialogue
All major decisions are made through open assemblies where every voice is heard.
No secret councils or hidden agendas may form; all governance must be transparent and recorded for all to see.
Elected Stewards
Stewards are chosen to coordinate community needs and enforce the constitution.
Their power is temporary, limited, and subject to immediate recall by majority consensus.
Article IV – Protection of the Commons
Sustainability First
No action may be taken that depletes the land or damages its long-term fertility.
Tools, buildings, and systems are maintained for the benefit of all, not for individual advantage.
Article V – Amendments
This constitution may be amended only through full-community agreement — except for Article I: The Right to Speak, which shall remain eternal and unalterable.
